The Role

Working within a busy industrial environment, you'll play a key role in keeping heavy fixed plant and equipment operating safely and efficiently.

This is a hands-on maintenance position offering a great mix of preventative maintenance, mechanical fault finding and breakdown repairs.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Performing preventative, corrective and breakdown maintenance

• Diagnosing mechanical faults and completing repairs to minimise downtime

• Maintaining conveyors, bearings, rollers, gearboxes, drive systems and rotating equipment

• Completing bearing replacements, installations and adjustments

• Inspecting plant and identifying worn or damaged components

• Carrying out mechanical repairs, modifications and equipment improvements

• Working alongside other trades to repair and fabricate components

• Supporting plant reliability and continuous improvement initiatives

• Maintaining accurate maintenance records and reporting faults

• Following strict safety procedures and maintaining high workmanship standards

About You

We're looking for a reliable, mechanically minded tradesperson who enjoys hands-on maintenance and thrives in an industrial environment.

To be successful, you'll need:

• Australian-recognised Mechanical Fitting, Plant Mechanic or equivalent trade qualification

• Experience in heavy industrial, manufacturing, processing, production or materials-handling environments

• Strong experience maintaining conveyors, bearings and rotating equipment

• Proven mechanical fault-finding and breakdown maintenance skills

• Confidence completing preventative maintenance and plant inspections

• Working at Heights certification

• Current EWP licence

• Current driver's licence and reliable transport

• Strong safety awareness and a proactive attitude

• Ability to work independently and within a maintenance team

• Full Australian work rights
